SENIOR PASTOR
BEN HEISE
Ben was born and raised in Buncombe County, N.C. He has served in pastoral ministry since 2011 in both Asheville and Candler, N.C. He married his lovely wife Hannah in May of 2010. Ben and Hannah have four children: Charlotte, Henry, Maggie, and Sam. Ben’s education includes an Associate of Religion/Christian Ministries Degree from Fruitland Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry Degree from Spurgeon College of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Degree from Gateway Seminary.
He enjoys fishing, watching football, and most importantly, spending time with his wife and kids.
Ben, Hannah, and the kids are excited to be a part of what God is doing at Holly Springs Baptist Church and in the Franklin, N.C. community!
Pete Rodewald

Pete was called as the Youth Pastor in September 2015. Pete spent the last 7 years as the Children’s Pastor at FBC Bradenton (FL). Prior to that, Pete spent 7 years teaching 4th and 5th graders in Bradenton. Born in Merriam (KS), Pete married his wife Jodie, born in Framingham (MA), in 2005. Pete earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Ball State University (IN) and holds a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Argosy University (FL). When time permits, Pete likes to golf, play softball, travel, and doing anything History-related. Pete loves BBQ Ribs. Pete and Jodie have two children, Cameron and Mackenzie.

After serving as secretary on an interim basis, Dayna joined HSBC as a full-time secretary in November 2015. Born in Brandon (FL), she has spent her life growing up as the daughter of a preacher. She married Kelly, born in Franklin, in 1992. Together, they have 2 daughters and three grandkids. Dayna’s hobbies include cooking, making memories and having fun with her grand
kids and serving where there’s a need. A big Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Dayna knows all things, Andy Griffith, making her an excellent trivia partner. Her favorites include Italian food, the Andy Griffith Show, and reading Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss books.

Kathi was called to lead the Music Ministry in January 2017. As a long-time member of the church, Kathi has sung in the choir and on the praise team for many years. Born in Ft. Myers (FL), Kathi married Jeff (California) and together they have 2 children: Avery and Colton. Kathi retired from teaching
high school English and is now a personal lines account manager at Wayah
Insurance Agency. She earned a B.S. in English from Western Carolina University, which is where she met Jeff. She enjoys reading, watching football, spending time by the pool, and being an active member of the Overlook Theater Company (20 years!). Raised in a church and attending a K-12 Christian school, Kathi made a profession of faith at the age of 5 and was baptized. At age 11, she felt like she truly understood what it meant to be a follower of Christ and re-dedicated herself by giving everything over to Him. Kathi and Jeff have 2 children: Avery (Jeremiah) and Colton and 2 grandsons, Walker and Case.
